About Me.

I'm Joe, a Drum teacher currently sharing a studio at The Palladium in Bideford, and I'm thrilled to open my studio to new students. With a Higher Diploma in Contemporary Music Performance from the Academy of Contemporary Music, Guildford, I've specialised in Moeller and drop doubles. Over the past decade, I've clocked in 100+ studio hours, contributing to projects like Bad Willow's 'Dove' and You Me at Six's 'We know what it means to be alone' E.P. On the live stage, I've got 10+ years of experience, playing over 500 shows, including memorable gigs with You Me at Six.

 

In my ten years of teaching, I've crafted a curriculum catering to different skill levels, currently guiding 14 students from beginner to intermediate in North Devon. Previously, I've successfully mentored eight students, even helping one through the ACM university audition process. I'm all about bringing out the unique style and personality in every drummer. Teaching

Having accumulated 10 years of teaching experience, I've developed a curriculum catering to various skill levels. Currently overseeing 14 students, my expertise spans from beginners to intermediate players, spanning an age range of 8 to 75. This transition occurred when I moved from London to North Devon. In my previous teaching stint in London, I successfully guided eight students, one of whom excelled through the ACM audition process.

I firmly believe that each individual possesses a unique style and personality in drumming. My teaching approach focuses on delivering enjoyable and engaging lessons within a laid-back environment. Specializing in Germen Grip and Moeller technique, I am also proficient in double bass drum playing and can assist with creative aspects of songwriting.

Levels taught: Beginner, Intermediate
